Industrial Solutions

Raise and Relevel provides ground engineering and specialised chemical / cementitious grouting solutions to re-support (underpinning), raise (slabjacking), re-level and rehabilitate industrial/commercial properties and civil infrastructure.

Structural Re-Support, Raising & Relevelling

Using proprietary materials and specialised polyurethane resin injection techniques, we can re-support, raise and relevel complex structures and sinking concrete (sometimes referred to as slabjacking).

Raise and Relevel primarily uses three polyurethane resin injection techniques as follows;

  1. Deep Injection – application of tailored polyurethane resins at predetermined depths to dynamically compact the ground and improve bearing capacity (also known as underpinning) and/or void fill/sinkhole repair.
  2. Deep Lift – the injection of proprietary resin (R+R FX) under structural foundations & footing to expand the ground and raise and relevel structures.
  3. Slab Lifting – also known as slab jacking, involves the injection of proprietary resin (R+R SX) beneath sinking concrete slabs to Raise and Relevel them.

The type of assets Raise and Revels provides services (including underpinning, slab jacking)  to include;

  • Industrial warehouses
  • Transport yards & hardstands
  • Commercial buildings
  • Public infrastructure;
    • Road
    • Rail
    • Bridges
    • Airports
    • Seaports
  • Heritage buildings
  • Mines
  • Mine subsidence affected properties

Raise and Relevel’s ground surgeons, who physically deliver the projects, have over 15 years of hands-on international experience and expertise across all types of assets.

Raise and Relevel are preferred applicators of some of the world’s leading material, equipment and accessories suppliers. It is by leveraging these strategic partnerships that enable Raise and Revel to provide our customers with superior technical advice with supplier-led quality assurance and control of delivery.

Our strategic supplier partnerships also enable Raise and Relevel to provide bespoke solutions for unique challenges, as opposed to being aligned with one supplier offering a generic ‘one size fits all’ solution.

Void Filling & Sinkholes

Underground void filling, sinkholes and abandonment grouting of in-ground services using specialised resins or cementitious grouts is another area of expertise for Raise & Relevel.

Depending on specific project considerations (e.g. volume, depth, ground conditions, environmental impact), we tailor our equipment and materials for the client’s requirements. We use specialised polyol resins, epoxies, phenolics, acrylics, vinyl esters, cementitious grouts or hybrid materials.

Sinkholes are sometimes a natural phenomenon whereby water erosion occurs below ground creating a void that collapses in. Most commonly, however, sinkholes occur in mine subsidence affected areas, particularly around Newcastle to the North of Sydney and Wollongong to the south in New South Wales. Sinkholes can also be caused by defective underground services (e.g. high-pressure water mains) which washout underground voids that collapse.

The void filling is normally related to the construction of a building or underground services. The void filling includes underfloor voids, culverts, pipelines etc. that need to be filled to either provide structural support and reduce or eliminate subsidence. The void filling is also used to prevent vermin from getting into voids and/or provide safety by not enabling people to enter the void.

Crack Injection and Repair

Concrete cracking is commonplace and usually indicates the beginning of serious structural damage caused by weak or voided ground, and left unaddressed can lead to serious structural failure.

Concrete or masonry crack injection and repairs are delivered in collaboration with our product suppliers, ensuring the optimum crack repair product and methodology solution based on the project-specific conditions.

Water-stopping / Leak Management

As distinct from the structural crack injection, water stop is a highly specialised method of injection behind the structural walls of tunnels, pipes, culverts and building basements to reduce and/or eliminate unwanted water ingress.

Similar to crack injection, Raise and Relevel deliver water stopping techniques through strategic supplier partners to ensure the correct combination of product (chemical or cementitious), accessories (drills, packers etc), equipment (pumps, access equipment, drill rigs etc) and expertise (rail corridor, airside, defence, tunnel, confined space certification).

Specialised Grouting

On occasion, projects will require a specialised grouting solution to address the challenges being faced. Material challenges can include the likes of fire rating requirements, environmental considerations, hydrophilic, hydrophobic and thixotropic properties.

Raise and Relevel collaborates with individual clients and their consultant teams with our strategic product manufacturer/supplier partners to develop and deliver bespoke grouting solutions for projects with unique site challenges.

Slab Jacking

Is your house or building starting to look a little worse for wear on the outside? Or perhaps you’ve noticed from afar that it’s beginning to look a little lower than it should be? Your foundation may be compromised, and the building may be settling into the ground.

While this is certainly cause for concern, it is not causing for alarm – more than likely, your building isn’t going to fall over tomorrow! Here at Raise + Relevel, we can help,  using our slab jacking technology to raise and re-level an uneven or subsided building. Using this technique of concrete levelling will save you money, and time and ensure that your home or building remains intact for years to come.

Questions you should ask

Your home is everything to you and your family, so before going ahead with any subsidence repairs, we’ve put together a list of questions our customers should ask:

What actual experience in resin injection does the person quoting my job have?

We offer advice, not sales, so we don’t employ salespeople. The person who quotes your job does your job, and has been relevelling homes like yours for over 15 years.

How many homes have you raised and relevelled?

Our specialists have raised over 7,000 homes in total.

What guarantee do I get that the solution is permanent?

If the problem returns, we return. We provide a fully guaranteed warranty on materials and workmanship.
